RIVERDALE — The Riverside Community Gallery was filled with colour, conversation, and creativity on Thursday evening as residents gathered for the opening of a new group exhibition featuring local artists.
The show includes paintings, mixed media works, and small sculptures created by artists from Riverdale and surrounding communities. Many of the pieces explore everyday life, local landscapes, and personal stories rooted in the region.
“It’s important for artists to have a place where their work can be seen locally,” said gallery coordinator Maya Chen. “This exhibition is about celebrating the creative voices already here in our community.”
The opening night drew a steady crowd of visitors, with artists on hand to discuss their work and connect with attendees. Organizers say the strong turnout reflects growing interest in local arts and culture.
The exhibition will be on display at Riverside Community Gallery through the end of the month and is open to the public during regular gallery hours.
