WESTFIELD — A two-vehicle collision slowed traffic along Oakridge Avenue on Tuesday morning, according to local authorities.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Oakridge Avenue and Pine Road shortly after 8:15 a.m. after a sedan and an SUV collided during the morning commute. Both vehicles sustained visible damage.
Paramedics assessed two drivers at the scene. One driver was transported to Westfield Regional Hospital with minor injuries, while the other declined medical treatment. No pedestrians were involved.
Police temporarily closed one lane of traffic while crews cleared debris and vehicles from the roadway, causing delays in the area for approximately 45 minutes.
Authorities say the cause of the collision remains under investigation and are reminding drivers to use caution at intersections, particularly during peak traffic hours.
